Alumni Testimonials

At the age of eleven, I waged a war at home to be sent to a boarding school. I don’t know why I did that, but that was the best decision I made as a child. It defined who I am today. The school was a little world of our own, unadulterated with the baggage of class, caste, religion, etc.

I was quite a rebel in school, sometimes with a cause but mostly without one. But the best part was that I was allowed to be myself. Despite being one of the naughtiest kids in school, I felt safe and accepted even when I was being difficult.

That’s the only place where one did not feel like a misfit, cos there was never a need to conform. I am very grateful to all the teachers and staff for shaping my defining years.

Lawyer, practising in Supreme Court since 2010. Addl. Advocate General (Rajasthan) in Supreme Court.

Looking back, my years at Ashok Hall Residential School, Majkhali, were truly transformative. It was more than just academics—it was where I discovered my confidence, independence, and the courage to dream big.

The school fostered lifelong friendships and instilled in me the strength to embrace challenges with a positive mindset. Today, as the co-founder of Natible, I carry that same passion and determination into building a brand that promotes healthy living.

The values I gained—resilience, creativity, and a spirit of exploration—remain at the core of everything I do.

Studying at Ashok Hall Girls’ Residential School (2004-2008) laid a strong foundation for my academic and professional journey. After completing my undergraduate and master’s degrees in the U.S.,

I now work at the U.S. Embassy in Nepal. Boarding school not only nurtured my leadership and people skills but also fostered perseverance and adaptability—qualities that continue to guide me in both, my personal and professional life.

As a student of Ashok Hall, Majkhali, my time here was truly transformative. The school’s serene and safe environment, coupled with its rigorous academic programmes helped me develop into a confident and well-rounded individual.

The school’s world-class infrastructure remains unparalleled even after 33 years. I am grateful for the lifelong friendships I formed here and the various extracurricular opportunities that the school provided.

Few of my fondest memories are participating in the school’s orchestra, the debate team, horse riding, tennis and Taekwondo lessons and the lazy Sundays spent in the school library devouring the fiction section.  The monthly tuckshop is where I learnt my first few lessons in money management.

I also had the honour to serve as Head Girl, which enhanced my leadership skills, taught me conflict management and adaptability. Lastly, the unwavering faith, support, love and guidance of our founder, Manjushree Ma’am, as well as all the teachers, was greatly instrumental in my growth..

I wholeheartedly recommend Ashok Hall to all the new-age parents seeking holistic education in a nurturing and stunning natural setting.

Ashok Hall served as a critical foundation in my formative years. My understanding of the school’s profound impact has deepened over time. Our teachers, both male and female, fostered an environment that empowered young women and cultivated a pursuit of excellence.

Its forward-thinking approach cultivated well-rounded development across academics, sports, and arts. The biggest gift I got from being there was that the school taught me to dream and to believe in the limitless possibilities within myself.

Ashok Hall had always been a second home for me, shaped me into achieving my dreams and goals. My family and I cannot be thankful enough for the guidance, infrastructure and a salubrious, wholesome environment which helped me and shaped me.

Studying hard and doing well in academics and sports with the help of a great team of teachers helped me join the Indian Army as an Officer, which had always been my goal. I deeply cherish the memories with friends who were like family and teachers who were not less than Gods.
